A signing Tuesday and another one today will put the Heat at the NBA’s 20-player limit for next Tuesday’s start of training camp.
Agent Mark Termini confirmed Tuesday that center Earl Barron today will accept the Heat’s $973,000 guaranteed qualifying offer for the coming season.
Because Barron was a restricted free agent and accepted the one-year offer, he now cannot be traded this season unless he gives his permission.
The 7-foot outside shooting center has appeared in 36 total games in his two seasons with the Heat, with a 2.2 career scoring average. Read more
